In this blog, I want to discuss an extremely important, yet often over-looked danger when finding a relationship counselor - finding a counselor whose individualistic value orientation leads them to undermine marital commitment.

You scroll down Google search results, trying to find someone you feel comfortable opening up to about your relationship.

Has your spouse checked out of your marriage?  Perhaps they have made it clear that they are no longer happy in the relationship. Are all indicators pointing towards separation or even divorce? Are you begging them to go to marriage counseling, but they won't even consider it as an option?
